What we record

What you fill in yourself: company name, your name, email address, and if you fill them in also phone number, town, number of staff, trade and your message. Alongside that we record which page you sent the form from, whether there was a source code in the link, your IP address and the browser you sent it with.

Those last two serve one purpose: keeping a limit on a public form. Without a counter per IP address this form would be a mailbox full of automated rubbish within a week, and your request would disappear among it.

What we use them for

To reply to you and to have the conversation you asked for. Nothing else. No newsletter you did not sign up for, no advertising profile, nothing sold on or exchanged with third parties.

The legal basis is the preparation of a contract, or our legitimate interest in replying to somebody who gets in touch with us.

Where they end up

In our own management environment, on our own servers in the Netherlands. Not in an external sales system. There is one automatic step in between: when a request comes in, a short message goes to our own sales address so that we see it.

How long they are kept

If it does not turn into a conversation, we delete the request after twelve months. If it does, it stays for as long as that conversation runs and then for as long as we are legally required to keep our records. A declined request is kept with the reason attached, so we know whether this form produces work or rubbish. That reason contains no more personal data than was already there.

Cookies

This website sets none. No analytics, no advertising pixels, no embedded video from elsewhere, and even the typeface comes from our own server. That is why there is no consent banner either: there is nothing to consent to.

Your rights

You may ask what we hold about you, have it corrected and have it deleted. One email to hallo@platrom.nl is enough. No form is needed. You may also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

If you become a client

Then it is about other data: your clients’, your projects’ and your staff’s. For that we sign a data processing agreement setting out what we may and may not do with it. What we can see inside a client environment, and what of that appears in your own audit log, is on the page Data and security.
