Dormer window configurator
Width, roof pitch and frame layout set the price, but the position decides whether it can go in within a day. That difference is its own line in the quote and not buried in a rate per metre.
For dormer builders and joinery firms
What it asks
- 1Where it goes
- 2Look and insulation
- 3Frame and glazing
- 4Finish and fitting
What comes out
- A quote with the lines set out separately, ready to send
- On the veranda and the dormer window, a sketch with the dimensions on it
- The survey kept, so a second visit is not a second survey
- On solar panels and insulation, the grant shown separately so the customer sees both figures
Does it allow for the roof pitch?
Yes. The pitch decides the height of the cheeks and therefore the material. Price that on a flat rate per metre and you lose money on a steep roof and price yourself out on a shallow one.
The amounts sit in your own environment and not in our code. You set your own labour rate, your own material prices and your own uplifts, and you do not wait for a release to do it.
